You don't need a new routine, a free weekend, or a burst of inspiration. You need a way to begin before you feel ready. The Ten Minute Rule is seven simple rules for starting — and returning — when life gets in the way.
Andrew spent a decade touring in rock bands before stepping away from music entirely — then fifteen years building creative and production teams at companies like Yahoo and Netflix. The work was good, and consuming, and somewhere in it his own creative life went quiet, the way it does when everything else takes priority.
He found his way back in small windows, without a plan. That return became Black Sands — an award-winning independent music project, with recognition at the Hollywood Independent Music Awards and collaborations reaching Billboard #1 and Grammy-winning artists.
The Ten Minute Rule came out of living both sides of that — the years of making and the years of not — and testing a way through. He lives and works in Los Angeles.
